Team,

We are incredibly excited to get things going for the 2018/2019 Season. Last season saw Bombers Fastpitch have amazing success on and off the field with three top five finishes at three national events including third place at PGF Premier. With that being said, the talent that we have for the 2018 and 2019 season is beyond imaginable! I couldn’t be more excited for what this next year will bring.

We have so many exciting things happening and we cannot wait to get things going this fall. We have created a new approach to our 16U Gold Team and how we compete, train and develop our best players in our program. We have created a new program for our 18U & 16U Gold program called the Texas Bombers Gold Easton Elite Academy.

In the 18U & 16U division on our Top teams from those age groups we will select our top 30 players in our program from each of those age divisions. Those 30 players will train together and compete together on 2 separate playing rosters with 15 players each. Both rosters will play in the same exact tournaments except for 1 or 2 tournaments at most. This will give us unique advantages when it comes to training and practice, we will have the opportunity to scrimmage and foster an environment of competition like we have never had in our program. Players will have the opportunity to move between rosters to aid development and recruiting opportunities.

You have already been introduced to Bruce Richards who is our Director of Operations for the Texas Bombers Gold 16U Program. His email is: brichards@familyleisure.com Bruce will handle all administrative functions of the 16U Program as well as some Assistant Coaching duties. You have and will continue to see emails that come from him regarding admin issues so please respond to him if he sends you something.

We will start our fall season on September 8-9 with our Fall Training Camp Weekend. We will train at Brenham High School (Training Camp Itinerary coming soon) We will have an entire weekend of high level training (Family social Saturday night) and will have a great time getting the 2018/2019 Fall season started. I’m attaching our Fall Schedule so you can set your calendar.

Here’s how our practices will work for this fall. Due to the fact that our team is made up of players from a number of different locations we hold “Regional” Gold practices during the mid-week. These “Mid-Week” practices will be held on Wednesdays in 3 different locations. Practices Location 1: New Braunfels / Practice Location 2: LaPort / Practice Location 3: Longview. Our weekend practices will either rotate or be held at a central location to help it not be a burden. Weekend practices will be held on Saturdays.
